WHY AM I BEING OFFERED A FREE MEMBERSHIP IN VALUECLUB?
The roots of Valueclub go back over 20 years, when the Phoenix Newspaper would receive theater tickets or restaurant gift certificates as partial payment for advertising.  We would sell these only to our employees at a substantial discount.  Over the years, many other advertisers saw the benefit of their paying for advertising with trade.  We then made it possible for employees of all our advertisers to purchase trade at a discount.  Phoenix Media (newspapers, magazines, radio stations) has grown to such an extent that we are now receiving more trade than ever and it was decided to offer the privilege of membership to our loyal readers and listeners. There is no membership fee and you are not obligated to purchase anything. Accounts with no purchases for 9 months will be automatically disabled. Your Username and Password will be suspended at that time.

WHAT IS VALUECLUB?
Valueclub is part of the Phoenix Media Communications Group. It enables  us to strike deals with advertisers whereby they don't have to pay the full amount of cash due for their ads. Instead they make a specific dollar value of their goods or services available to us. As a new member of Value Club, it is important that you recognize that you are, in a sense, acting as our ambassador to our clients and advertisers. By accepting your application for membership in the Value Club program we trust you with our most prized possession, our reputation. With these great discounts comes certain responsibilities.

Please read these FAQs and follow these instructions and restrictions. Restrictions are in place for reasons that may not be obvious to you but they are essential to our program. We reserve the right to discontinue your privileges at any time.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I SAVE USING VALUECLUB.ORG?
Discounts vary from merchant to merchant, and can range from 25% to 75%.  However most of the trade is discounted between 33% and 40%. To view the discounts you must have an active account and you must be logged into www.valueclub.org.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT?

  1. Click on “REGISTER”
  2. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled out in order to complete the application.
  3. Enter your Promo Code/Referral Name.  
  4. Enter a User ID and password. (Please write these down for your records)
  5. Read our Disclaimer, User Agreement and Privacy Policy before you complete the application.
  6. Click “SUBMIT”
  7. You will be notified via email upon acceptance of your application.

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION?
Go to “ACCOUNT DATA” there you will see a screen almost identical to the initial register screen. At that point you can edit your information.

I FORGOT MY PASSWORD... HOW DO I GET IT?
If you forget your password, start by clicking on “I forgot my password”. You will then be asked to enter the email address that you used to sign up. At that time your password will be emailed to the address on your account information.

WHAT IS CREDIT SCRIP?
Credit Scrip, or “Scrip” are certificates issued by the Value Club as proof of your purchase, and can be used like a gift certificate. Scrip is issued for specific merchants and cannot be transferred between participating advertisers. Scrip is issued in specified dollar amounts. Advertisers will not make change for Scrip. For example, if your bill in a restaurant comes to $25 and you have three $10 denominations of Scrip, you may either use Scrip for $20 and pay the difference in cash, or use the Scrip for $30 and forego the $5 difference. Scrip cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE VALUE CLUB?
Yes, certain restrictions apply. Here's a list of specific restrictions for Scrip.

  1. DO NOT USE SCRIP AS A TIP. Scrip cannot be used to pay gratuities of any kind. Do not use Scrip to tip restaurant servers, salon technicians or any other worker that relies on gratuity for their income. Furthermore, we ask you to remember to tip on the full amount of the check, not the amount you paid for with Scrip.
  2. RESTAURANTS MAY NOT HONOR SCRIP FOR PARTIES OF SIX OR MORE. If you're planning a larger party and would like to use Scrip, please contact  Value Club in advance and we'll attempt to make a special arrangement for you.
  3. YOU CAN ONLY PURCHASE SCRIP THROUGH THIS WEBSITE OR OUR WALK-IN OFFICE. In some situations a link to a website has been provided in order to allow consumers access to information provided by the advertiser (special offers, dates and times of events, directions to locations). You will not, however, be able to purchase Scrip through any other web site but this one. Also, you will not be able to purchase Scrip at the advertiser’s store, restaurant or other retail location. Discounts that are provided here are arrangements made at a corporate level. Servers, Hairstylists, Front desk Attendants or other Customer Service Agents will not be able to provide you with information about purchasing Scrip.
  4. IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS WITH MERCHANTS HONORING YOUR SCRIP, DO NOT TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS. Using Scrip is a privilege that we grant to you. The relationships we build with our advertisers are very important to us. If you encounter any problems with the Scrip, please allow us to speak on your behalf with our retailers in regards to any discrepancies with the Scrip program.   5. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS ON TICKETS OF ANY KIND. - Because of the time sensitivity of theatre, concert, circus or any other type of tickets, there are no exchanges or refunds of any kind unless the show or event is cancelled. DO NOT RESELL YOUR SCRIP TO ANYONE OTHER THAN FAMILY MEMBERS. We reserve the right to terminate a membership for any reason at any time.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. If you would like to pay with personal check, money order or cash, you can mail or come to our offices in person at 126 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA. 02215

ARE CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS SAFE?
Absolutely! In fact, it is statistically safer to use your credit card on the Internet than in a restaurant or department store. By using SSC encrypted servers and the leading security measures we assure you that your personal information is not only safe with us but will never be issued to other parties. DOES VALUE CLUB CHARGE TAX ON PRODUCT/SERVICE?
Sales, departure and all other taxes are the responsibility of the purchasers.

WHAT PRODUCT(s) ARE AVAILABILE ON VALUECLUB.ORG?
Because we offer such great discounts, our inventory changes rapidly. If you don't find an item that you saw on previous visits to our site, please keep checking in. We are constantly adding new products and services and renegotiating with our existing advertisers and suppliers. A great way to keep updated on our latest merchants and offers is to elect to be on our email lists.  Click on "ACCOUNT DATA"

HOW DO I ORDER SCRIP?
To order items please follow these steps.

  1. Finding the desired  acccount can be initiated one of two ways.
    a. By typing the first few letters of the name of the company, restaurant or store, in the “subject” area.
    b. Select a category from our list of options, for example: “Restaurants”
  2. Choose a restaurant. (You can search by neighborhood or by cuisine, etc.).
  3. Enter the desired amount of the scrip.
  4. Select the quantity. By giving you options on the denomination, it gives you more freedom to use the scrip. For example, if you plan on going out to eat and decide that you will probably spend $30 on your meal, selecting two $10 notes and two $5 notes, you will have the flexibility to choose how to pay. Remember, participating merchants will not make change for Scrip. By keeping this in mind purchasing some small denominations is important.
  5. You will be taken to your “Shopping Cart”
    a. Choose the method of payment
    b. Choose destination of delivery (shipping address, pick up)
    c. Choose the method of delivery (USPS regular mail, USPS priority mail or pick up)

WHOM CAN I CONTACT REGARDING MY ORDER?
You can call our office at 877-749-8723 between the hours of 10am-5pm (Mon-Fri).  Occasionally  mistakes are made on prices or quantities of product. We will make every effort to resolve any problems to your satisfaction.

CAN I CANCEL AN ORDER?
No. Orders cannot be cancelled once the checkout process has been completed. In order to insure rapid response to your requests, orders are processed, adjusted in our systems and mailed out immediately. This makes it impossible for us to cancel orders after check out. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause. If you would like to speak to a customer service representative please call 877-749-8723 between the hours of 10am-5pm (Mon-Fri).

WHERE DO YOU SHIP?
We ship anywhere in the continental United States. You can choose from US Postal Service mail and two-day priority. You will be billed for shipping and handling charges. There are no S&H charges, when you pick-up your order at our offices.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT RECEIVE MY SCRIP?
If for some reason you do not receive your Scrip, call 877-749-8723 between the hours of 10am-5pm (Mon-Fri) or email us at assistance@valueclub.org.

WHAT IF THE COMPANY I PURCHASED SCRIP FROM GOES OUT OF BUSINESS?
Refunds will be made only if a merchant does not honor the Scrip and only up to sixty days following the purchase. There are no exceptions. Invalid Scrip must be returned within two months of purchase to the Value Club Office for exchange or refund. It is advisable to use Scrip as soon as possible to avoid complications.

HOW DO I OPT-IN/OPT-OUT OF EMAIL LISTS?
Value Club sends out weekly email to those who wish to receive them. If you do not wish to be notified (via email) about special offers, last minute notification, specials, seasonal or monthly newsletters, please deselect the corresponding boxes at the time of registration. If at any time you wish to be removed from (or added to) our newsletter list, please click “ACCOUNT DATA” and deselect (or select) the boxes indicating you wish to receive email.

ARE THERE SURVEYS AND CONTESTS ON VALUECLUB.ORG?
Occasionally, Value Club will request information through a survey. This information is to better assess the effectiveness of our website and will not be used for any other means. Contact information will be used to notify contest winners and award prizes. Participation in contests is completely voluntary and participants must be 18+ years old.

ARE 3RD PARTY LINKS SECURE?
Please be aware that our site may offer you links to other sites that are owned and operated by third parties. It's your option to use these links if you wish. These third party sites have their own privacy policies and practices. Value Club is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of third parties.
